How do I encrypt confidential data in the vTiger database?

Data security is key in any software, and due to the high number of security-vulnerable algorithms, there are a lot of issues with data security.
The vTiger database is easily hacked by the hecklers, who steal important data like customer’s phone numbers, emails, SSNs, addresses, etc. and sell those data in the market at a higher cost.
